Tales from the Borderlands – for fans and newcomers alike
We wandered through an exquisite Telltale rendition of the already colourful world of Borderlands, and could not ask for a better way to spend five entertaining evenings.
Since every Telltale game is heavy on the narrative – much like the relationship between my morning sandwich and a five-pound jar of Nutella – there’s not much I can give away without entering Spoilerlands.
But I can assure you it was a fun and interactive ride for both myself – a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd-hand amateur in Borderlands lore – and my significant other, who has a soft spot for flawed, multifaceted characters and tear-jerking cliffhangers, but who otherwise has never heard of anything related to Gearbox‘ opus.
But don’t take my word for it.
Have your interest piqued with a smidgen of playthrough material, or even watch the five episodes in ten hours or less.
And if you really could not give a skag’s ass, at least have the most eloquent, heart-wrenching philosophical musing of the entire game elate you with its powerful message.
